Yesterday, Dr. DIAKA SIDIBE, the newly appointed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Guinea, chose the SONFONIA University construction site—undertaken by CBITEC—as the first stop of her official inspection tour. The visit demonstrated the Guinean government’s strong commitment to advancing modern education development and injected new momentum into the friendly cooperation between China and Guinea.

At the project site, machinery roared and workers carried out their tasks in an orderly and energetic manner, reflecting the vibrant progress of construction. Minister SIDIBE and her delegation went deep into the front line, inspecting construction progress, quality control, and safety management. She listened attentively to a detailed briefing from the CBITEC project team on planning, construction arrangements, and key challenges, frequently stopping to ask questions and engage warmly with on-site staff.

After gaining a comprehensive understanding of the project, Minister SIDIBE expressed high recognition and strong satisfaction with its progress. She noted that SONFONIA University is a key project in Guinea’s modernization of higher education, bearing the important mission of cultivating high-quality talent and promoting national educational development. She praised CBITEC for its professional construction capability and efficient execution, highlighting the strong performance and reliability of Chinese enterprises.

The minister’s decision to make this project her first inspection stop not only reflects recognition of CBITEC’s construction strength but also conveys expectations for deeper China–Guinea cooperation.
